Artist's Note
Getting to Lizard Head Rock means a walk in the dark that I still don't love doing alone, torch beam bouncing over a track I've half-memorised by now. I do it anyway, because the rock's silhouette against an open southern sky is worth the nerves every time, and on this night, it was worth a great deal more, with the aurora unfurling in green and violet directly behind it. I stood there longer than I needed to for the photo, honestly, just to keep watching. This print is for anyone who's ever gone slightly out of their way, alone, for something they couldn't quite explain to someone else afterwards.
