Artist's Note
The tide was right out at No. 16 Back Beach that night, leaving a sheet of wet sand that turned into a second sky the moment the aurora lit up. I moved along the shoreline for almost an hour trying to find the spot where the reflection was cleanest, half-watching my footing and half-watching the colour build overhead. There's something quietly humbling about standing between two skies like that, with no one else around to share it with in the moment. This print is how I've tried to hold onto that feeling, equal parts wonder and stillness, long after the tide came back in.
