Artist's Note
I'd checked the aurora forecasts on and off for months without much luck, so when the numbers finally lined up I didn't quite believe it until I saw the first faint green wash appear on my camera's screen. By the time it built into the colour you see here, green sliding into violet, mirrored in the wet sand at Rye Back Beach, I was half laughing out loud on an empty beach at midnight, completely alone with it. Seeing the aurora from mainland Australia isn't something you plan for so much as something you get lucky enough to witness. This print is my attempt to hand that luck on to you.
